AK Plaza Gwangmyeong Branch to Open on the 29th of Next Month... "Offering Everyday Special Moments"

AK Plaza Gwangmyeong Branch to Open on the 29th of Next Month... "Offering Everyday Special Moments" AK Plaza will officially open 'AK Plaza Gwangmyeong Branch' in Iljik-dong, Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 29th of next month.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] AK Plaza announced on the 27th that it will open 'AK Plaza Gwangmyeong Branch' in Iljik-dong, Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 29th of next month.

The Gwangmyeong Branch is the fourth shopping mall introduced by AK Plaza following Hongdae Branch, Giheung Branch, and Sejong Branch. It is also the first branch to open using the shopping mall brand name AK Plaza instead of AK&, following the BI integration plan announced by AK Plaza in May.

The Gwangmyeong Branch consists of a total of six floors, including two basement levels and four above ground. The sales area is approximately 14,007 pyeong (46,305㎡), making it the largest among the shopping mall branches operated by AK Plaza. It is located at a transportation hub where Subway Line 1 of the metropolitan area, KTX Gwangmyeong Station, and five major expressways intersect, offering excellent accessibility.

The Gwangmyeong Branch is themed 'Connecting to Life,' meaning a connection to everyday life, sensibly reinterpreting the core slogan that AK Plaza has continuously pursued, 'Daily Premium,' which offers specialness to customers' daily lives. In fact, ▲Experience & Entertainment ▲Food & Beverage ▲Lifestyle Fashion ▲Sports & Accessories account for about 70% of the entire store, and it is the first branch to allow pets to enter, catering to 'Petfam' customers who want to share their daily lives with their pets.

The Gwangmyeong Branch features large-scale media art using 'Kinetic Art' equivalent to an 11-story apartment building (33m) at the center of the shopping mall ceiling. Kinetic Art refers to artworks with movement. With colorful lighting and music, it will provide visitors with the joy of culture and art.

Various resting spaces where visitors can feel nature indoors have also been prepared. The 'Urban Grove' theme, expressing a small forest in the city, has been applied throughout the shopping space so that customers can comfortably rest anywhere. In particular, the 'Food Terrace' on the second basement floor, completed with gardening accessories and covering 500 pyeong (1,653㎡), offers various types of seating along with Food Hill, allowing customers to freely enjoy food in a green interior.

Kim Jae-cheon, CEO of AK Plaza, said, "The Gwangmyeong Branch is a lifestyle shopping mall that sensibly embodies AK Plaza's unique 'Daily Premium' value, offering specialness to customers' daily lives," adding, "We will provide diverse experiences from shopping to healing and culture with various contents and abundant facilities tailored to customers' lifestyles."
