LG Electronics will operate an LG home appliance experience zone on popular game metaverse platforms such as 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' and 'Fortnite' under the theme of 'Healthy Life.'
By accessing the Animal Crossing game and entering the visit code (Dream Address), users can visit the virtual island 'LG Home Island,' which consists of three concept theme zones. LG Home Island is composed of ▲ the Clothing Care Appliance Zone, where visitors can enjoy maze exploration and check out LG Tromm washing machines, dryers, and stylers ▲ the Kitchen Appliance Zone, where visitors can collect fruits and fish while experiencing LG refrigerators, ovens, and microwaves ▲ the Air Solution Zone, where visitors can relax with LG air conditioners and air purifiers.
After touring the island, posting a certification photo taken in the Habitat Zone within the game on their Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter with the hashtags #LGHome and #LGHomeInAnimalCrossing will allow users to participate in the joint donation.
Visitors can also participate in the donation by visiting the 'LG Healthy Home' map in Fortnite. By activating all LG appliances that help health, such as air conditioners, washing machines, and dryers, completing the mission, and sharing it on social networking services (SNS) with the hashtags #LGHome and #LGHealthyHomeInFortnite, users can join the campaign.
LG Electronics will donate approximately $210,000 (250 million KRW) to the nonprofit organization Habitat for Humanity Korea together with customers who participate in the event. The donation will be used for building houses, schools, and libraries, as well as improving sanitation environments such as communal water supply and toilets in countries including Kenya, India, and Vietnam.
