[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] An absurd incident occurred where a man in his 60s defecated on a wide-area bus and fled, causing outrage among the bus driver and netizens.
On the 25th, an online community, Bobae Dream, posted a thread titled "Middle-aged man who pooped on a wide-area bus and left."
The bus driver who wrote the post revealed an incident he experienced the previous day, saying, "There are still people like this. I thought it was just something I heard about from senior drivers." He also attached a photo showing the man defecating.
The bus driver expressed anger, saying, "Mr. middle-aged man in your 60s, did you feel relieved? The bus is not a restroom." He added, "There have been cases where people threw trash on the bus or vomited due to intoxication, but defecating is unacceptable."
He continued, "The 2,800 won you paid does not include the cost of cleaning up your feces," and lamented, "How far is a bus driver supposed to go in providing service?"
The driver further said, "If it was urgent, I would have stopped even on the highway, but did you poop in the tunnel because you were embarrassed to do it in the city? If the Namsan Tunnel is about 10 km long, I am afraid to imagine what you did inside the bus."
He added, "Because of your feces, I have not been able to eat for two days, and although I am driving a different vehicle today, I keep gagging," and appealed, "I want to drive the bus kindly and safely without worrying about vomit or feces."
Finally, the bus driver emphasized, "Please put trash in the trash can, vomit in the provided plastic bags, and feces in the restroom."
Netizens who read this story responded with comments such as, "Can't they track who it is through the bus card records?", "I feel nauseous just reading this," and "If it was urgent, he should have asked to stop."
