KOTRA Hosts 'World Job Talk Concert,' a Guide to Overseas Employment

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] KOTRA announced on the 26th that it will hold the '2021 Second Half World Job Talk Concert' online from the 27th of this month to the 1st of next month, in collaboration with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. This event was organized as a preliminary event linked to the '2021 Second Half Global Job Fair,' which will be held from October 27 to November 2.


This talk concert consists of ▲Corporate HR Manager Live Talk, where job seekers can directly obtain job information from corporate HR managers ▲Special lectures on resumes and interviews to strengthen job seekers' capabilities in preparation for participating in the Global Job Fair ▲Job-specific overseas employment live talks where job seekers can gain know-how on overseas employment from senior professionals in major occupations.


Job seekers participating in the event are expected to improve their employment outcomes at the upcoming October Global Job Fair by obtaining information directly from HR managers and local employees. Those wishing to participate in this talk concert can apply on World Job Plus at least two days before each individual event. Only applicants will be provided with instructions on how to access the video conferencing system.


First, in the Corporate HR Manager Live Talk, representatives and HR managers of companies participating in the Global Job Fair will introduce their companies and recruitment information to young job seekers. On the 26th, six companies from Japan and the United Kingdom, and on the 28th, five companies from the United States, Vietnam, and others will participate according to the schedule, totaling 11 companies. Well-known companies in Korea such as SoftBank Technology (SB Technology) and Kolon Industries Vietnam Corporation will also participate, attracting the interest of job seekers.


The resume and interview special lectures will provide detailed guidance on resume writing and interview strategies by language (English and Japanese) and occupation. These will be held over two days as Resume Day (29th) and Interview Day (30th).


Additionally, the job-specific overseas employment live talk will be held for one day on October 1, delivering vivid employment know-how through senior professionals in five major occupations: ▲Big Data & Machine Learning ▲Distribution & Logistics ▲Airline Services ▲Finance & Insurance ▲IT Service Development. Following this, a Q&A session between senior employees and participating job seekers will provide on-site information.


Yoo Jung-yeol, President of KOTRA, stated, "I hope our young people make full use of this event to obtain useful preliminary information for overseas employment," and added, "KOTRA will continue to actively support Korean youth to thrive on the global stage."
