[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seung-jin] Na Kyung-won, former floor leader of the People Power Party, stated on the 24th that false information is being spread online regarding the Daejang-dong scandal and that "those who spread it will be reported for defamation."

Na's camp released a press statement on the same day, saying, "It is true that Na's spouse owns land in Daejang-dong, but since the land is unrelated to the Daejang-dong development project, false information has spread as if Na received special favors, leading to the decision to file a complaint."

Na Kyung-won explained, "The land was acquired by my spouse in June 1988, before our marriage, and it is not only physically distant from the land involved in the Daejang-dong development allegations but also has a transmission tower, making it impossible to sell or use, thus having no investment value."
