Investigation of 327,000㎡ in Two Districts Including Yongdang-dong 183번지 Area
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seung-hyun Jeong] Mokpo City, Jeollanam-do has established the 2022 Cadastral Resurvey Implementation Plan.
According to the city on the 24th, to designate the 2022 cadastral resurvey project districts, an implementation plan has been established for two districts including Yongdang-dong lot 183 and surrounding areas, covering 1,270 parcels and 327,000㎡. From the 13th, a public inspection and announcement have been conducted to hear opinions from landowners and stakeholders.
Starting with the establishment of the implementation plan, the city will hold residents' briefing sessions in compliance with COVID-19 social distancing guidelines and apply to Jeollanam-do for project district designation after obtaining consent from more than two-thirds of the landowners.
Subsequently, cadastral resurvey measurements and land status investigations will be conducted to reach boundary agreements among landowners and install temporary boundary markers. After collecting opinions following the notification of the cadastral confirmation notice, boundaries will be finalized through deliberation and resolution by the Boundary Decision Committee. For lands with area increases or decreases due to boundary confirmation, cadastral resurvey adjustment fees will be collected and paid according to the Special Act on Cadastral Resurvey.
The cadastral resurvey project is a national project converting paper cadastral maps created during the Japanese colonial period, whose cadastral records do not match the actual status and registered land boundaries, into new digital cadastral data (digitization) to eliminate disputes among landowners. This project will be carried out nationwide until 2030.
A city official stated, “To protect citizens' property rights and contribute to enhancing land use value, active participation from landowners and stakeholders is necessary for the successful progress of the cadastral resurvey project. We will promote the project while communicating with residents on site.”
