Gwangju University Receives Positive Response for Humanities Lectures Targeting Local Residents

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) is receiving positive responses for its humanities lecture program conducted for local residents.

According to Gwangju University on the 24th, Jinwol Small Library in Nam-gu, which is operated on consignment, held a total of four sessions of 'Fusion Humanities' (Humanities with Magic Show, Face Management for Communication, Amazing Communication, Cultivating Hope and Peace of Mind) starting from the 9th.

Jinwol Small Library was selected last year for the small library interior design project hosted by the Association of People Making Small Libraries and KB Kookmin Bank, and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, transforming into a universal space design.

Along with this, it was also selected for the reading culture program support project, effectively serving as a communication channel with local residents through various lectures.

Im Hyung-taek, director of Jinwol Small Library (professor of Youth Counseling and Lifelong Education), said, “Local residents enjoyed participating in this program as it gave them opportunities to experience laughter, positive feelings, gratitude, and comfort,” adding, “We will strive to establish the library as a community cultural space where communication with local residents can be realized.”
