[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] ToBeSoft, a company specializing in enterprise user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) platforms, is accelerating its new business initiatives by securing an investment of 3 billion KRW from comprehensive IT company SGA. Through continuous investment attraction, the company aims to become a leading enterprise in the ‘live commerce-based new distribution platform,’ a new growth engine.
On the 23rd, ToBeSoft announced that the full payment for the 11th series of anonymous, interest-bearing, unsecured private convertible bonds (CB) worth 3 billion KRW issued to SGA has been completed. ToBeSoft plans to use the funds to concretize and expand business cooperation with SGA while securing operating capital for successful new business promotion.
An SGA official stated, “This investment was decided to strengthen the strategic partnership between ToBeSoft, a corporate system development platform company, and SGA, an information system integration (SI) company,” adding, “Through the synergy between SGA, which is expanding large-scale next-generation public projects such as the 4th generation education administration information system (NICE), and ToBeSoft, we will be able to secure more business references.”
ToBeSoft plans to use the investment funds to expand the adoption base of its recently launched new product, ‘Nexacro N,’ and accelerate the development of its current core new distribution platform.
The ‘live commerce-based new distribution platform’ under development by ToBeSoft is scheduled for release within this year. It will transform into a comprehensive online shopping mall that not only integrates an instant payment system but also enables live commerce production and broadcasting, and adds metaverse-based game content to provide users with unique entertainment beyond shopping.
A ToBeSoft official said, “This investment attraction has strengthened our ongoing new growth business,” adding, “We will complete the infrastructure for the new distribution platform and produce and release about 1,800 live commerce contents by next year to develop a live commerce-based agricultural and marine products distribution platform, creating a turning point for the activation of agricultural and marine product consumption in the non-face-to-face era.”
They continued, “In the future, we plan to develop an online shopping mall that supplies high-quality agricultural and marine products to students by linking with school meal systems and delivers local specialties directly from each local government.”
Meanwhile, earlier this year, ToBeSoft established a strategic business cooperation relationship with the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) to advance the distribution business of agricultural and marine products, and recently agreed with JoongAng Ilbo to mutually cooperate in marketing activities to activate the new distribution platform. Additionally, on the 1st, ToBeSoft unveiled ‘Nexacro N,’ a new QuickCode-based low-code UI/UX development platform.
