Three Family Members Dead and More Accidents in Gwangju and Jeonnam During Chuseok Holiday On the first day of the holiday, the 18th, three family members, A (55), A's mother (74), and A's wife (51), were found dead in a house in Jangseong, Jeonnam.

According to the police and fire authorities on the 23rd, on the first day of the holiday, the 18th, three family members were found dead in a house in Jangseong, Jeonnam.


A (55) was found in the warehouse, A's mother (74) in the master bedroom of the house, and A's wife (51) in the back seat of a nearby parked vehicle.


The police are considering it an extreme choice due to family discord based on A's handwritten will, and plan to clarify the exact cause of death through an autopsy and other investigations.


On the 19th, in a mountain in Haeryong-myeon, Suncheon-si, Jeonnam, B (40), who had gone missing after expressing economic difficulties due to business failure, was found dead after three months.


B, who had suffered financial hardship due to failure in the agricultural supplies delivery business, reportedly left a message to his family in June saying he wanted to leave and has been out of contact since.


The police received a report that a vehicle had been parked in the mountain area for about half a month and have been searching the area. Currently, there is no suspicion of homicide, and they plan to investigate the exact identity and cause of death through DNA testing and other methods.


On the same day, in the rocky area of Geomdeungyeo east of Gwangdo, Samsan-myeon, Yeosu-si, fishing enthusiast C (52) drowned and died.


At the time of rescue by coast guard personnel, C was unconscious and not breathing. He was transported to the hospital while receiving emergency treatment but ultimately died.


The coast guard estimates that he slipped and fell into the sea while fishing and is investigating the exact circumstances with witnesses and others.


Three Family Members Dead and More Accidents in Gwangju and Jeonnam During Chuseok Holiday Around 12:19 PM on the 21st, on a two-lane national road in Sapyeong-myeon, Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, a Mohave vehicle crossed the center line and consecutively collided with an oncoming Avante passenger car and an intercity bus. As a result of the accident, the Mohave driver (30) died, the passenger sustained serious injuries, and 15 people, including bus passengers, suffered minor injuries.


Large traffic accidents and fires also occurred around Chuseok day.


On Chuseok, the 21st, at around 12:19 PM, on a two-lane national road in Sapyeong-myeon, Hwasun-gun, Jeonnam, a Mohave vehicle crossed the center line and consecutively collided with an Avante passenger car and an intercity bus coming from the opposite direction.


As a result of this accident, the Mohave driver D (30) died, the passenger was seriously injured, and 15 others including bus passengers sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the hospital.


On the 20th at around 9:44 PM, a collision involving four vehicles occurred near Seungju IC on the Honam Expressway in Seungju-eup, Suncheon-si, resulting in seven people sustaining minor injuries and being transported to the hospital.


On the same day at around 11:52 PM, a fire broke out at an automobile parts warehouse in Gwangcheon-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju, and was extinguished in 1 hour and 15 minutes.


The fire caused property damage worth approximately 175.65 million KRW, including two warehouses (234.42㎡) being burned, but no casualties were reported.


The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause through fire forensics.
