Busan as a 'Digital Dental Medicine City'... Exhibition and Academic Conference Held to Support Hosting the National Institute of Dental Medicine

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan City will hold the '2021 Busan Digital Dentistry Exhibition and Comprehensive Academic Conference' over two days on the 25th and 26th at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 2.

The academic conference was organized to strengthen the competitiveness of local dental companies, promote the latest dental technology, and attract the National Institute of Dental Research to Busan.

At the dental exhibition, 43 dental equipment companies including Osstem Implant, Dio, and Sale Global will set up about 150 booths to promote their products. Additionally, dental equipment promotions will be conducted for medical staff participating in the academic conference.

At the comprehensive academic conference, the latest digital dentistry technology information will be disseminated and promoted under topics such as 'Inlay and Onlay Preparation for CAD/CAM.'

A symposium titled 'Establishment of the National Institute of Dental Research in Busan! Realizing Trust!' will also be held to share the necessity and justification for establishing the National Institute of Dental Research and to hear expert opinions on attracting it to Busan.

Considering the COVID-19 situation, Busan City plans to conduct the event while adhering to quarantine rules such as pre-registration, QR code implementation, and providing personal quarantine kits.

This event is jointly hosted and organized by Busan City, the Busan Dental Association, the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, and Busan Technopark.

A Busan City official said, "We hope this exhibition will strengthen the determination to attract the National Institute of Dental Research to Busan and serve as an opportunity for Busan City to leap forward as a digital dentistry hub by enhancing regional competitiveness through the exchange of technology and academia in the dental industry."
