[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Shinsegae Food announced on the 23rd that No Brand Burger sold out 10,000 delivery gift certificates during a special live broadcast held to celebrate its 2nd anniversary.
During the live broadcast held at 6 p.m. on the 18th through Baemin Shopping Live, Shinsegae Food planned to sell 5,000 No Brand Burger delivery gift certificates worth 10,000 won at a 30% discount for 7,000 won each. However, the 5,000 delivery gift certificates prepared for the day were sold out within about 20 minutes of the broadcast start, receiving enthusiastic responses from viewers. Consequently, Shinsegae Food urgently decided to sell an additional 5,000 certificates during the broadcast and continued the live show, achieving a total sell-out of 10,000 certificates.
The number of viewers also exceeded 120,000, which is double the average viewership of 60,000 for Baemin Shopping Live.
A Shinsegae Food official said, “To commemorate the 2nd anniversary, we held this special live broadcast not only to highlight No Brand Burger’s cost-effectiveness but also to inform customers about its excellent taste and fresh ingredients. Moving forward, we will strengthen digital marketing through not only live broadcasts but also our own app scheduled to launch at the end of the year to expand customer experience with No Brand Burger.”
Meanwhile, Shinsegae Food’s No Brand Burger surpassed 100 stores in just 1 year and 8 months, the shortest period in the industry, since its launch in August 2019, and recently exceeded 150 stores by opening the Busan Hadan Art Mall branch on the 16th. Riding this growth momentum, Shinsegae Food aims to open 170 No Brand Burger stores by the end of this year.
