Drive-Thru Pickup Service for Purchased Items at Exit Debuts
"Experience-Focused Complex Cultural Space... Service to Minimize Customer Inconvenience"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] A suburban outlet emphasizing 'experience' has introduced a service that allows customers to pick up purchased items all at once in the parking lot when leaving, enabling 'empty-handed shopping.' This offline store, which offers a variety of food, entertainment, and more to differentiate itself from online shopping, has maximized customer convenience to extend the time customers stay.

On the 23rd, Lotte Premium Outlet 'Time Villas' in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province announced the launch of a 'Drive-Thru Pickup Service' that allows customers to receive their purchased items in the parking lot when exiting. Previously, Lotte Department Store had introduced a 'Drive Pick' service where customers could pick up items bought online or via mobile in advance at the store, but this is the first time that items purchased on the same day at an offline store can be collected all at once upon exit.

Opened on the 10th, 'Time Villas' positions itself as a complex cultural space and offers not only shopping areas but also customer experience content such as Glassville and Playville. The company stated, "Since this is a space where customers can stay for a long time, we introduced the 'Drive-Thru' pickup service to minimize the inconvenience of customers having to carry their purchased items around continuously."

Customers can apply for the service through the Time Villas pickup service application (app) or QR codes inside the stores, sequentially entering their phone number, vehicle number, brand, number of shopping bags, etc. After completing all shopping, they can receive their items at the 'Pickup Zone' located in the parking lot when exiting. The received items are moved to the pickup zone by pickup staff, and customers can check the arrival status of their items via the app. Some brands, including food and beverage (F&B), are excluded, and the usage fee is 2,000 KRW regardless of quantity.

Kang Woo-jin, manager of Lotte Premium Outlet Time Villas, said, "After considering how to make shopping more comfortable for customers, especially families with strollers, at suburban outlets, we launched this service. We plan to continue exploring convenient methods from the customer's perspective and introduce various services through test operations in the future."

Meanwhile, 'Time Villas' is a suburban premium outlet with a total floor area of approximately 175,200㎡, spanning four floors from two basement levels to the second floor above ground, housing about 250 brands.
