64 Countries, 138 Cities Korean Entrepreneurs Gather... World Korean Entrepreneurs Convention Held in Seoul

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] About 1,000 people, including Korean business CEOs active in 138 cities across 64 countries worldwide, domestic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and related organization officials, will gather in Seoul both online and offline.

On the 23rd, Seoul City announced that the "25th World Korean Business Convention" will be held from October 12 to 15 at the Grand Walkerhill Hotel.

Held over four days, this World Korean Business Convention will consist of ▲ investment attraction briefings ▲ intercontinental networking meetings ▲ export consultations ▲ recruitment briefings, among other programs. Especially, as this event gathers the global Korean business network, support for exports of domestic SMEs and recruitment briefings for young job seekers in Korea will be available through prior registration.

In particular, the 'Recruitment Briefing,' which includes programs such as one-on-one overseas employment consulting, overseas employment environment briefings, and company recruitment briefings, will accept participation applications through the website until the 30th.

This program will match interviews between 70 member companies of the World Korean Trade Association overseas and 100 domestic job seekers. Job seekers participating on-site will have non-face-to-face interviews with member companies. The World Korean Trade Association aims to facilitate overseas employment for about 50 people by the end of this year through this event.

Jung Young-jun, Director of Seoul City's Economic Policy Division, said, "I hope that the export consultation meeting, which will be attended by about 1,000 Korean businesspeople worldwide both online and offline, will open export channels for Seoul companies and lead to opportunities for expanding overseas Korean investment in Korea," adding, "We will operate the event to create a good job creation platform by matching talented domestic young job seekers with competitive global Korean companies."
