Toy Sales Increase by 40% During Chuseok and Seollal Months
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Toy store 'Toys "R" Us,' operated by Lotte Mart, announced on the 22nd that it will hold the 'Happy Toys "R" Us Day' event, offering up to 50% discounts on over 1,500 toy items until the 29th.
'Happy Toys "R" Us Day' is a large-scale toy event held only twice a year, coinciding with the Seollal and Chuseok holidays. Toys "R" Us explained that the event was planned considering that toy sales during the months with Seollal and Chuseok are more than 40% higher than usual.
This 'Happy Toys "R" Us Day' event features toys across all categories, including electronics, educational toys, and toys for girls and boys, such as 'Nintendo Switch,' 'LEGO,' and 'Sylvanian Families.' The 'Nintendo Switch HAD' and 'Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing Edition' are sold at a discounted price of 350,000 KRW, reduced by 10,000 KRW. Ten popular Switch titles, including 'Animal Crossing' and 'Mario Golf,' are also offered at a 20% discount.
'Sylvanian Families,' loved for its animal dolls, miniature furniture, and buildings, is also available with discounts up to 30%. Fastlane offers up to 40% off on all items. 'LEGO City Our Home' and 'LEGO Downtown' can also be purchased at discounted prices.
