Sale of Agricultural and Specialty Products at Hyundai Food Hall ToHome... Support for Hygiene and Marketing Consulting
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Hyundai Department Store is supporting sales channels and marketing for local farmers and small business owners through Hyundai Food Hall ToHome.
Hyundai Department Store announced on the 22nd that it will operate the 'Online Sangsaeng Project' in partnership with 'Sangsaeng Sanghoe,' a coexistence exchange platform operated by Seoul City.
The 'Online Sangsaeng Project' is a business that supports online sales channels through the food specialty online mall 'Hyundai Food Hall ToHome' and provides hygiene and marketing consulting to small farmers and small business owners who are tenants of Seoul City's 'Sangsaeng Sanghoe.'
Hyundai Department Store supports farmers who lack online sales experience by assisting with product registration, product photography through a professional studio, and operating storytelling content such as the 'ToHome Magazine' in collaboration with famous chefs.
As part of this 'Online Sangsaeng Project,' Hyundai Department Store will sell apples from Chungju City, Chungbuk Province, where production has decreased due to fire blight (a disease that causes fruit trees to wither due to fire blight bacteria), and traditional liquor produced at a brewery in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon Province, which adheres to traditional methods, on Hyundai Food Hall ToHome from the 24th to the 30th.
Next month, Hyundai Food Hall ToHome plans to launch 'Donghaeng Market,' a shop-in-shop where over 200 agricultural and specialty products will be shipped directly from farms, and will hold planned exhibitions more than twice a month.
Hyundai Department Store plans to expand the number of products in Donghaeng Market to over 1,000 by next year and continue support by developing exclusive products using excellent products from local farms.
A Hyundai Department Store official said, "We expect the Online Sangsaeng Project to be a good opportunity to introduce excellent products from local farms to customers already using Hyundai Food Hall ToHome," adding, "We hope this project will establish itself as a 'coexistence model' representing the mutual growth of online malls and local farmers and small business owners."
