Non-Face-to-Face Walking Campaign Using Mobile Walking App 'WalkOn'... 100 Winners Drawn Among Those Who Complete Designated Course Walks 3+ Times to Receive Home Training Equipment
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) is conducting a 3-week walking campaign challenge called "Walking Alone Along Byeolbitnaerincheon" from the 9th to the 30th of this month.
This event is part of the walking mileage project jointly hosted by Seoul City and Gwanak-gu, aimed at restoring the health and vitality of residents who have been stagnant due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Byeolbitnaerincheon (Dorimcheon), a precious natural resource and representative healing space of Gwanak-gu, was selected as the course. Using the mobile walking app "WalkOn," any Gwanak-gu resident or Seoul citizen can participate non-face-to-face.
The walking course is approximately 2.9 km from Dongbang 1-gyo to Gwanak Dorim Bridge along the Byeolbitnaerincheon walking trail, taking about 40 minutes. As the name suggests, it is recommended to walk leisurely while feeling the autumn atmosphere approaching with the beautiful scenery as if starlight is falling.
To participate, install and run the mobile app "WalkOn" on your phone, click the second trophy icon at the bottom, select "Walking Alone Along Byeolbitnaerincheon," and follow the guided walking course.
Since the walking achievement rate is measured through GPS linkage, be sure to check that your phone's GPS is turned on.
The participation period is from September 9 to 30, and if you complete walking at least three times during this period, you can enter the "Home Training Equipment Raffle."
Among those who complete the entry, 100 people will be selected by lottery to receive a TheraBand that allows various strength exercises at home. Sending a photo taken with the Gang Gamchan character encountered along the course to the KakaoTalk "Gwanak-gu Public Health Center Health Management Center" 1:1 chat room can increase your chances of winning.
The Health Management Center operates the walking community "Gwanak, Good Day to Walk, Good Path to Walk" within the mobile app "WalkOn" on an ongoing basis.
The community provides campaign announcements on various walking themes and diverse health information to members, offers step count rankings among users, and exchanges health information to encourage residents' walking exercise.
If you have any questions, please contact the Gwanak-gu Public Health Center Health Management Center.
