[Asia Economy Reporter Seoyoung Kwon] Former National Assembly member Kim Young-hwan raised his voice of criticism, saying "We lost" regarding Moon Joon-yong, the son of President Moon Jae-in, receiving COVID-19 art support funds.

Today (21st), former member Kim said this in a post titled "Unconcerned, there is no one like that again" on his Facebook. Kim began by saying, "It is said that Moon received art support funds again," adding, "This time, it is said he received them from faraway Yanggu, so it is now exhausting to criticize."

Kim explained, "(Moon) received 2.95 million won in Jeongeup over the past two years, 69 million won from the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service, 14 million won from the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, 15 million won from the Cheongju Art Museum, and 30 million won from the Paradise Culture Foundation," adding, "If you add the 70.89 million won budget supported by Yanggu County Office, it amounts to approximately 201.84 million won in support funds allocated over two years."

Kim criticized, "It seems they decided to 'squeeze everything out' even from Yanggu County, which has the lowest financial independence," and said, "I want to live in a country without such a president's son," and "Moon and his family, inevitably the president's family, have no minimum sense of shame." He sarcastically added, "In their eyes, it seems there is only one person in South Korea suffering from COVID-19."

Furthermore, Kim stated, "I do not want to live with such a president's son," and claimed, "Since the president's term is almost over, they act recklessly without any concern." He concluded his post by saying, "The people lost today," but "the people will never forget them," and "There is no one like that in any aspect."

Earlier, according to the office of People Power Party lawmaker Kwak Sang-do, Moon received about 70 million won in local government funds by exhibiting his work in an art museum project supported by Yanggu County Office in Gangwon Province. It is known that when the Park Soo-geun Children's Art Museum in Gangwon Province opened in May last year, Moon was allocated a total of 70.89 million won as the exhibition budget for his media art work "Hidden Picture Finding."
