Assemblyman An Ho-young, "I Will Go Anywhere for 'Hydrogen'!"

[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Congressman Ahn Ho-young (Wanju, Jinan, Muju, Jangsu) is rolling up his sleeves to promote hydrogen cars produced at Hyundai Motor Company's Jeonju plant and the hydrogen industries of Jeonju and Wanju, which were selected as hydrogen pilot cities.

On the first day of the Chuseok holiday, the 18th, at 2 p.m., before the K-League match between Jeonbuk Hyundai and Suwon Samsung held at Jeonju World Cup Stadium, Congressman Ahn visited the 'Hydrogen Pilot City Roadshow' site set up on the east side of the stadium, toured the exhibition, and cheered for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors' game.

Hyundai Motor Company's special hydrogen exhibition was held from the 17th to the 18th to promote hydrogen cars and the hydrogen industries of Jeonju and Wanju, taking advantage of the relaxation of social distancing to level 3, allowing citizens to watch soccer games.

Additionally, on the 19th, Congressman Ahn also had close communication time with company officials related to the hydrogen industry within Wanju County, as well as with the relevant departments of Wanju County Office.

Congressman Ahn said, "The hydrogen industry will become a core energy source that will bring infinite development as the future food source of Jeonbuk and change the life patterns of the people," adding, "I hope Hyundai Motor Company will frequently hold exhibitions like today’s so that the hydrogen industry can be directly confirmed at major events in the province."

Congressman Ahn earned the nickname "Hydrogen Evangelist" as he was recognized as a key figure who led the era of mass production of hydrogen vehicles by visiting Hyundai Motor Company's Jeonju plant and repeatedly negotiating with management on the production of hydrogen buses and trucks after the Moon Jae-in administration presented the 'Hydrogen Industry Roadmap' as a new growth industry in January 2019.
