Airline Industry Welcomes Chuseok Peak Season Passengers with Abundant Events

[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] The aviation industry is offering various discount events to capitalize on the peak travel season during the Chuseok holiday.

According to the industry on the 19th, Jeju Air is selling special fare tickets priced in the 10,000 KRW range until the 22nd. Based on the 'FLY' fare, including fuel surcharges and airport facility fees, the lowest one-way fare starts from 12,700 KRW. These tickets can be used until the end of this month.

Jeju Air will operate a total of 36 additional flights during the Chuseok holiday to accommodate travelers returning to their hometowns. They have increased flights on major routes with high passenger demand, including 18 flights on the Gimpo~Busan route, 10 flights on Gimpo~Gwangju, and 8 flights on Gimpo~Yeosu.

Jin Air is running a promotion for travel to Jeju in September and October until the 10th of next month. Jin Air provides Hana Card-exclusive Genie coupons to customers on Jeju routes. For customers flying during the Chuseok holiday, Jin Air is offering a discount event and giving out immediate 10,000 KRW discount coupons for holiday flights. The boarding period extends until the 31st of next month.

T'way Air is offering special fare tickets to Jeju Island until the 22nd. The one-way total fares by route are 15,400 KRW for Gimpo~Jeju, 15,400 KRW for Daegu~Jeju, and 13,400 KRW for Busan~Jeju. T'way Air will operate 110,000 seats across 8 routes during the Chuseok holiday, including Gimpo~Jeju, Busan~Jeju, and Gimpo~Busan. Notably, the Gimpo~Busan route has been increased by 16 round trips, adding about 6,000 seats during the holiday period.

Air Busan is applying special fares on all domestic routes, selling tickets starting from 14,900 KRW and conducting a lottery event.
