[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] Kim Si-woo (26, CJ Logistics) is enjoying a strong momentum on Moving Day.
On the 19th (Korean time), at the Silverado Golf Course in Napa, California, USA (par 72, 7,123 yards), during the third day of the Fortinet Championship, the opening event of the 2021/2022 PGA Tour season (total prize money $7 million), he shot 4-under par to leap to a tie for 9th place (10-under par 206). Starting from a tie for 17th place, 6 strokes behind, Kim Si-woo recorded 7 birdies and 3 bogeys. On 13 holes, he exchanged 3 birdies for 3 bogeys, struggling to lower his score. However, he surged up the rankings by making 4 consecutive birdies from holes 14 to 17. He posted an average driving distance of 296 yards, a fairway hit rate of 57.14%, and a greens in regulation rate of 55.56%. He is 4 strokes behind the leader, with a chance for his 4th career win since his victory at the American Express in January.

McNealy added 2-under par to maintain his position atop the leaderboard for the second consecutive day, while Knous fired 7-under par to join the race for the title. Phil Mickelson, Will Zalatoris, and Webb Simpson are tied for 9th place, Charlie Hoffman (all USA) is tied for 19th (9-under par 207), Mark Leishman (Australia) is tied for 26th (8-under par 208), and Hideki Matsuyama (Japan) is tied for 32nd (7-under par 209). Kang Sung-hoon (34, CJ Logistics) reduced his score by 2 strokes with 4 birdies and 2 bogeys, tied for 44th place (5-under par 211).
