[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in approved the appointment consent bill for Choi Jae-hae, the nominee for the Chairperson of the Board of Audit and Inspection, on the 17th. The appointment consent bill was submitted to the National Assembly around 3:30 PM.
Earlier, on the 14th, President Moon nominated Choi as the successor to former Chairperson Choi Jae-hyung. The nominee will be finally appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Audit and Inspection after going through a confirmation hearing and other procedures.
