In particular, Kim said, "As a member of the public, I believe the people want to see the case and know the truth," and emphasized, "It is about uncovering the substantive truth." He continued, "Although it started as a fact-finding investigation by the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, since compulsory investigation was not possible, it inevitably had to transition to an investigation at some point," and stressed, "The core of this case involves abuse of authority and obstruction of rights, so the authority to investigate lies with the PCC."
