'Daechang-dong Allegations' Fiercely Attacked by Opposition... Lee Jae-myung Retaliates, "Investigate Inside the People Power Party"

[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] The opposition parties are launching an all-out battle over Gyeonggi Province Governor Lee Jae-myung's Daejang-dong preferential treatment allegations, calling it a "power-type corruption set," "department store of foul play," and "septuplet corruption twins." While attempting to reverse the prolonged political situation surrounding former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's 'accusation scandal,' they are also engaging in a full-scale 'frame war' with the ruling party's leading presidential candidates about six months ahead of the presidential election.

Governor Lee's side is raising the level of counterattack with a 'direct breakthrough' and 'strong measures' against such offensives. On the 17th, Lee posted on Facebook, "The People Power Party has formed a Daejang-dong Task Force, but they should first investigate insiders including Representative Kwak Sang-do," and directly targeted, "You should first ask Representative Kwak's son, who is said to be the first employee of Hwacheon Daeyu."

On the same day, Yoon Chang-hyun, a member of the People Power Party affiliated with Yoon Seok-yeol's camp, appeared on the radio and raised preferential treatment suspicions, saying, "The seven corporations of Cheonhwa-dongin, which participated in the consortium with Hwacheon Daeyu, invested 300 million won like septuplet twins and took profits of 346.3 billion won, which is obviously strange." He added, "The corporation was established a week before the public offering, and the status of the preferred negotiator was reviewed in just one day." He also said, "I have secured the shareholder list, and the informants are all related to Seongnam City."

On the other hand, Lee Jae-myung's camp insists that all are mere suspicions without concrete evidence and has launched a 'counterattack including defense' by pointing out that Representative Kwak Sang-do's son worked at Hwacheon Daeyu. Lee responded on Facebook, "(Hwacheon Daeyu) initially agreed to guarantee only 450 billion won in profits during the first negotiation but later imposed an additional 92 billion won, and at that time, the president criticized me as if I were a communist," and said, "The People Power Party's Daejang-dong Task Force should first investigate insiders including Representative Kwak and quickly inform me of the owners."
