Park Beom-gye, Minister of Justice, Noh Hyung-wook, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and Seo Wook, Minister of National Defense, remained in the lower ranks.
On the 17th, Realmeter conducted a job performance evaluation survey of executive branch ministers targeting 9,077 men and women aged 18 and over nationwide from the 2nd to the 26th of last month. Among the 18 ministries, Minister Hwang Hee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism took first place with a score of 42.9 points.
Following him, Minister Yoo Eun-hye of the Ministry of Education (42.2 points) ranked second, and Minister Chung Eui-yong of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ranked third with 41.8 points.
Next, Minister Lim Hye-sook of the Ministry of Science and ICT (40.4 points) ranked fourth, Minister Han Jeong-ae of the Ministry of Environment (40.3 points) ranked fifth, and Minister Kwon Chil-seung of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (40.2 points) ranked sixth, forming the upper tier.
The middle tier included six ministries: Minister Kwon Deok-cheol of the Ministry of Health and Welfare (39.6 points, 7th), Minister Kim Hyun-soo of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (39.3 points, 8th), Minister Lee In-young of the Ministry of Unification (38.9 points, 9th), Minister Moon Sung-hyuk of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (38.7 points, 10th), Minister Hong Nam-ki of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (38.4 points, 11th), and Minister Ahn Kyung-duk of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (38.2 points, 12th).
Minister Park Beom-gye of the Ministry of Justice (37.8 points, 13th), Minister Moon Seung-wook of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (36.3 points, 14th), Minister Noh Hyung-wook of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (34.8 points, 15th), Minister Seo Wook of the Ministry of National Defense (34.6 points, 16th), Minister Jeon Hae-cheol of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (33.4 points, 17th), and Minister Jung Young-ae of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (30.3 points, 18th) were in the lower ranks.
The average job performance score of the 18 executive branch ministers in August was 38.2 points, which was lower than the job performance rating of Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum (43.5 points) conducted over 11 days (from August 17 to 31) and President Moon Jae-in's national administration rating in August (41.6 points).
This survey was conducted using a mixed method of random telephone calls to both landline and mobile phones, telephone interviews, and automated responses. Statistical adjustments were made by applying weights based on gender, age group, and region according to the resident registration population statistics from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety as of the end of April 2021. The sampling error by ministry is ±4.4 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, and the response rate was between 4.9% and 5.8%.
