Korean Mental Culture Foundation Hosts 'Empathy and Comfort' Humanities Value Forum in Andong

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Korea Foundation for Mental Culture (Chairman Hee-beom Lee) announced on the 17th that it will hold a forum under the theme of 'Empathy and Consolation' for three days from October 7 to 9 at 'Andong Traditional Resort Gureum-e.'

Now in its 8th year, the forum is co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Gyeongbuk Province, and Andong City, organized by the Korea Foundation for Mental Culture, and supported by the UNESCO Korean Commission and Maeil Business Newspaper Media Group.

This year's forum will explore the humanistic values of warm empathy and consolation for daily life exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, under the theme of 'Empathy and Consolation,' to overcome social issues intensified by the pandemic such as performance-oriented culture, polarization, inequality, fatigue society, and loss of humanity.

Participants wishing to attend in person must pre-register through the official website of the '21st Century Humanistic Values Forum.' For those unable to pre-register, all programs will be broadcast live via the official website and official YouTube channel.
