General Positions: 33 Administrative, 15 Technical, 2 Experienced, and 20 Support Staff
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 17th that it will create 70 new jobs through an open competitive recruitment of new employees in the second half of 2021.
Applications can be submitted through the recruitment website from the 27th of this month until the 7th of next month. Starting with application submissions at the end of September, candidates will go through document screening, written exams, and interviews, with final successful candidates selected in December.
For general positions, SBC will hire 33 in administration (business, economics, administration/law), 15 in technical fields (mechanical/metal, electrical/electronics, chemical engineering, computer science), and 2 experienced professionals (Korean Certified Public Accountants). For support positions (non-fixed term contracts), 20 will be hired by region and project.
The second half open competitive recruitment will be conducted as a blind recruitment based on the National Competency Standards. SBC plans to realize social value through open recruitment without restrictions on age, education, or background, and socially equitable recruitment that considers socially vulnerable groups such as persons with disabilities. It will actively respond to the government’s regional balanced New Deal and youth job creation policies by expanding regional talent recruitment.
Additionally, SBC will comply with government COVID-19 prevention guidelines such as social distancing and prioritize the safety of applicants during the recruitment process. Wearing masks will be mandatory for candidates participating in written exams and interviews, and thorough health questionnaires and temperature checks will be conducted before entering the venue. A distance of at least 2 meters will be maintained between candidates in the exam rooms, and separate waiting rooms will be operated for managing symptomatic individuals.
Chairman Kim Hak-do said, "SBC has already taken the lead by hiring 55 new employees in the first half of this year to help alleviate employment difficulties. Although the COVID-19 situation is prolonged, we will actively take the lead in creating new jobs and fulfill the social responsibility and role of public institutions."
