Leader Song appeared on MBC's 100-Minute Debate alongside Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, discussing the possibility of changing COVID-19 prevention policies. He said, "There was complacency due to the lack of a firm recognition that vaccines were a game changer," adding, "As a ruling party member, I am reflecting on this."

Earlier, Leader Lee pointed out, "If we turn back the clock by one year, wasn't the government overly optimistic about antibody treatments and negligent in vaccine procurement?" He added, "At that time, there were very optimistic forecasts and early control measures, which seemed too hasty." When Leader Lee noted that Song agreed with the responsibility for the vaccine supply delay, he said, "I wish the Blue House had heard those words." In response, Leader Song reiterated his agreement with the responsibility, saying, "We must reflect where reflection is due."

Meanwhile, in the debate, Leader Lee proposed, "If the ruling and opposition party leaders discuss the COVID-19 prevention sector and reach a conclusion on 'With Corona' through cooperation, it could persuade the public." Leader Song responded, "That is why we agreed to hold a ruling-opposition-government consultative body," adding, "Let's set a date and proceed even as soon as tomorrow."
