[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Junho] Kim Nam-gu, Chairman of Korea Investment Financial Group, held a recruitment briefing session where job seekers and top executives meet directly again this year.
On the 16th at 3 p.m., Chairman Kim held the recruitment briefing session "TALK ON Hantogether" at the auditorium of Korea Investment & Securities headquarters and explained the talent qualities sought by Korea Investment & Securities. This briefing session has been personally managed by Chairman Kim for 19 years including this year.
Chairman Kim began with a lecture under the theme of "Our Dream." He explained, "We have a vision to contribute to society through finance. We are looking for partners who share the same dream and will challenge the goals with us."
During the Q&A session, numerous questions from students were received through on-site participants, video conferencing, and YouTube online comments. Among them, when asked "If you were a job seeker, what capabilities would you develop?" Chairman Kim answered, "While having good credentials is important, above all, you should reflect on how your life has been directed so far and what you want to do in the future, and organize your own life story."
At the briefing session, 49 representatives from each school participated out of 2,896 students who applied. About 1,800 others who could not attend in person listened to Chairman Kim’s explanation through a real-time YouTube live broadcast.
Korea Investment & Securities will recruit about 100 talents through this open recruitment. If you submit your online application by 5 p.m. on the 28th, the final successful candidates will be selected through an artificial intelligence (AI) job competency evaluation and two rounds of interviews.
