Ministry of Unification Holds Bilateral Talks Between Jeong Park, US Special Representative for North Korea, and Director-General Level Officials

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] On the 16th, the Ministry of Unification announced that it held a bilateral consultation at the director-general level with Jeong Park, the U.S. Special Representative for North Korea, exchanging views on the current situation on the Korean Peninsula.

Both sides monitored North Korea's humanitarian situation and conducted practical discussions on Korea-U.S. joint humanitarian cooperation, agreeing to continue close consultations in the future.

Deputy Representative Park previously held director-general level consultations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well.
