[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that South Korea and the United States held a director-level consultation on the 16th to discuss practical measures for engagement with North Korea.
Im Gap-su, Director of the Peace Diplomacy Planning Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held the director-level consultation with Chung Park, the U.S. Special Representative for North Korea, on the same day.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "Both sides held practical consultations on various measures for engagement with North Korea to achieve substantial progress in the recent situation on the Korean Peninsula and the peace process on the Peninsula, and agreed to continue close communication going forward."
