Hanwha General Insurance Holds Blood Donation Event Ahead of Chuseok... "80,000ml Blood Donated Over 3 Years" Hanwha General Insurance announced on the 16th that it held a blood donation sharing event involving headquarters employees ahead of the Chuseok holiday.

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Hanwha General Insurance announced on the 16th that it held a blood donation event involving its headquarters employees ahead of the Chuseok holiday.

The company explained that the event was organized in response to social concerns about a potential blood shortage at the end of the year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, Hanwha General Insurance has designated October as the "Month of Social Contribution" and plans for about 400 employees to participate in volunteer activities. Throughout the month, volunteer programs will be conducted nationwide targeting regional children's centers, elderly care centers, and elementary school students in Seoul, including children's safety education using Zoom, Eyes Up pedestrian safety education, and non-face-to-face safety education for elderly living alone.

A Hanwha General Insurance official stated, "We have continuously held blood donation events twice a year, with about 200 participants over the past three years donating 80,000㎖ of blood," adding, "We hope the employees' goodwill will provide a small help in securing the necessary blood supply during the Chuseok holiday."
