Operating from 9 AM to 6 PM, prompt testing recommended if symptoms appear
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 15th that the public health center's COVID-19 screening clinic will operate normally during the Chuseok holiday period from September 18 to 22.
This was promoted by the county for a prompt response due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19 amid the nationwide surge that has not easily subsided, especially with the large-scale national movement during Chuseok.
During the Chuseok holiday, the public health center screening clinic will operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. as usual, and anyone can receive free testing regardless of symptoms or registered residence.
Additionally, the COVID-19 emergency response situation room will operate without a break during the holiday period to promptly respond to COVID-19 testing, quarantine guideline consultations, and confirmed cases, maintaining a 24-hour emergency contact system.
Gu In-mo, the mayor of Geochang-gun, said, “Due to COVID-19, it is a situation where we cannot comfortably meet family and relatives even during the Chuseok holiday.” He added, “We ask residents to visit their hometowns in small groups or send greetings non-face-to-face during the holiday, comply with quarantine guidelines, get COVID-19 tests before and after traveling to other regions, and monitor their health to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
