Kamco, Jungjingong, and Seoul Guarantee Hold Financial Support Meeting for Rehabilitation Companies

Kamco, Jungjingong, and Seoul Guarantee Hold Financial Support Meeting for Rehabilitation Companies

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) announced on the 15th that it reviewed the achievements of the ‘Package-type Financial Support Program for Rehabilitation Companies’ with participating institutions and discussed future development directions.

The ‘Package-type Financial Support Program for Rehabilitation Companies’ is a financial program that supports rehabilitation companies with technological capabilities and growth potential by combining working capital loans and preferential guarantees. KAMCO, the Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC), and SGI Seoul Guarantee jointly participate in this program.

The meeting, held online via video conference at the Corporate Restructuring Support Center, was attended by related institutions such as Industrial Bank of Korea and Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology, as well as representatives of small and medium rehabilitation companies that received financial support. Since the program’s launch, discussions covered support achievements and reviews, listening to corporate difficulties, and development plans for effective support.

An attendee at the meeting stated, “The package-type program was a great help in securing liquidity and improving external credibility at a time when credit ratings had fallen due to rehabilitation procedures, making it difficult to secure working capital. We hope the program will continue to expand so that more rehabilitation companies can benefit.”

Kim Gwi-su, Head of Corporate Support Division at KAMCO, emphasized, “It is very meaningful that participating institutions including KAMCO and rehabilitation companies discussed ways to develop the program together. Through cooperation among institutions, we will improve and supplement the program to contribute to the normalization of management and employment stability of small and medium rehabilitation companies.”
