[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Gaon Media's subsidiary Mobikei announced on the 15th that it will launch dedicated cases and accessories on Amazon (US) and Amazon Japan in line with Apple's official iPhone 13 unveiling schedule.
In particular, following last year's entry into Amazon (US), the company is officially entering Amazon Japan to expand its overseas market. Japan's e-commerce market ranks fourth in the world, and Amazon Japan is the second largest open market platform in Japan.
The products being released this time are two types of cases compatible with iPhone's wireless charging feature MagSafe: the 'Hybrid Case' and the 'TPU Case.' Designed to match the iPhone 13's protruding rear camera, they are engineered to prevent the lens from touching surfaces and getting scratched when dropped.
The hybrid case, reminiscent of a carrier bag, combines hard polycarbonate (PC) and flexible, shock-absorbent thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) materials, optimizing protection for the iPhone. Its transparent wave-shaped rear design allows the Apple logo color to vary depending on light reflection.
The TPU case features a carbon pattern texture and lightweight design, offering a sleek look as if no case is attached. The entire interior is specially designed for rapid shock absorption and excellent grip, while the outer edges apply a nano dot technique.
A Mobikei representative said, "We have laid the groundwork for entering the Japanese market following the US to expand our global distribution network," adding, "We plan to broaden consumer choices by releasing a wider variety of smartphone accessories beyond just iPhone 13 cases."
Meanwhile, Mobikei plans to sell various accessories on Amazon, including MagSafe wireless chargers, MagSafe standing leather card wallets that attach to the iPhone, and coil-type vehicle chargers, jointly promoted with the iPhone 13 cases.
