Gyeonggi-do Publishes "Apartment Quality Inspection Casebook"

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province has published a casebook on quality inspections of apartment complexes.

On the 15th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it has published the "2021 Gyeonggi Province Apartment Complex Quality Inspection Casebook," which contains the operational achievements of the Apartment Complex Quality Inspection Team, composed of experts from various fields who visit apartment complexes before move-in to inspect construction sites.

This casebook was created mainly with on-site photos to easily convey notable and exemplary cases in 10 fields including architecture, landscaping, and fire safety, making it a useful reference for construction sites and pre-move-in inspections by residents.

It also includes construction safety topics such as thawing and rainy season inspection items and safety facility management to prevent frequent safety accidents at construction sites.

The province plans to distribute the casebook at construction sites and upload it to the Gyeonggi Province electronic book section on the official website.

Go Yong-su, head of the Apartment Complex Division of the province, said, "I feel rewarded seeing that the activities of the Apartment Complex Quality Inspection Team have reduced defective construction and defects every year, and that more solid and pleasant apartment complexes are increasing. I hope this year's casebook will be actively used at construction sites to supply high-quality apartment complexes without safety accidents."

The Gyeonggi Province Apartment Complex Quality Inspection Team was first implemented nationwide in 2006 to improve the quality of apartment complexes, prevent defects, and provide a pleasant living environment. Over the past 15 years, it has conducted on-site inspections at about 2,000 complexes. Recognizing these achievements, the Apartment Complex Quality Inspection system was legalized nationwide through the revision of the Housing Act in January this year, and quality inspection teams are now operating across the country.
