[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] From 10 a.m. on the 15th, if you order and pay for food 4 times through delivery applications (apps), you can receive a 10,000 KRW refund through your card company next month. The number of participations is limited to 2 times per day per the same card company.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has resumed support for non-face-to-face dining discounts to minimize the contraction of the domestic economy due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation.
There are a total of 19 participating delivery apps: 11 public, 2 public-private mixed, and 6 private apps, and 9 participating card companies.
The delivery apps participating include Baedal Teukgeup, Ddingdong, Baedal-ui Myeongsu, Ildansikyeo, Eodigo, Baedal Ol Geoje, Baedal Moa, Bulleobomnae, Baesyulleong, Baesyulleong Sejong, Daeguro, Wemakeprice O, Meokkebi, Baedal-ui Minjok, Yogiyo, Coupang Eats, PAYCO, Dillyus, and KakaoTalk Order.
The participating card companies are 9 in total: Kookmin, Nonghyup, Lotte, BC, Woori, Samsung, Shinhan, Hana, and Hyundai.
After applying through the card company, if you make 4 card payments of 20,000 KRW or more at delivery apps participating in the project, the card company will refund 10,000 KRW next month in the form of cashback or billing discount.
Only takeout and delivery orders paid through delivery apps are recognized as valid; face-to-face payments with delivery workers or visiting stores to pay on-site and then take out are not eligible for benefits.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs allocated 20 billion KRW, about half of the remaining budget, to this project and plans to end the event once the budget is fully used on a first-come, first-served basis.
