[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samsung Electronics has decided to extend the activation period for pre-order customers due to the shortage of Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3.
On the 14th, Samsung Electronics announced through its official website that the activation period for pre-orders, originally scheduled from the 24th of last month to the 15th of this month, will be extended until the 30th of this month.
The application period for pre-order gifts, which was until the 30th of this month, will also be extended until October 15th.
Samsung Electronics stated, "Due to inventory imbalances by model and color at some stores, making it difficult for customers to activate the desired model, we are once again extending the activation period and gift application period for all models."
Previously, Samsung Electronics had changed the activation period for pre-orders, originally scheduled for the 27th of last month, to the 15th of this month, and has now extended it by an additional 15 days.
The pre-order performance for the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3, conducted from the 17th to the 23rd of last month, was approximately 920,000 units. This is about 1.3 times that of the Galaxy Note20 and about 1.8 times that of the Galaxy S21.
