[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] On the 9th, the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) announced that Deputy Commissioner Kim Yong-seon visited SK Bioscience located in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, to hold a briefing session on patent analysis of 'mRNA vaccines.' The briefing shared the results of analyzing key technologies, core patents, and dispute status for each production process of mRNA vaccines, and reviewed patent issues anticipated in each process during vaccine development and production.
