Gwangju Nambu Fire Station, 'Hero' 119 Paramedics Who Saved Precious Lives

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Nambu Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City (Chief Lee Jeong-ja) announced on the 9th that it awarded certificates and badges to seven paramedics selected as Heart, Brain, and Trauma Saver recipients for saving citizens' lives.


The 'Heart Saver' certification is awarded to paramedics and civilians who have revived patients in cardiac arrest using professional cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillators. Three paramedics and one social service worker working at the Bongseon 119 Safety Center of Nambu Fire Station were honored with the Heart Saver selection.


Also selected on this day, the 'Brain Saver' certification is awarded to paramedics who contributed to minimizing aftereffects by providing rapid and accurate assessment and hospital transport for acute stroke patients. Three paramedics working at the Wolsan 119 Safety Center of Nambu Fire Station were selected.


The paramedics selected as Savers expressed their gratitude, stating, "We will continue to treat citizens in difficulty as if they were our own family and do our best to save lives."


Go Jung-hyun, head of the 119 Disaster Response Team at Nambu Fire Station, expressed appreciation for the efforts of the paramedics receiving the Saver certification and urged, "Please continue to do your best in training and field activities to save precious lives."
