[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Semisysco announced on the 9th that it has signed a business agreement with BaedalCook, a hybrid shared kitchen brand, to establish an eco-friendly delivery platform.
Through this business agreement, BaedalCook plans to build a delivery system that contributes to environmental protection by utilizing Semisysco's compact electric vehicle EV Z (EV Zeta).
BaedalCook is a shared kitchen that differs from existing shared kitchens by securing an OEM production factory and its own food ingredient distribution network. It plans to enhance brand competitiveness by using Semisysco's EV Z. Additionally, it will establish an eco-friendly delivery vehicle system together with the EV Z.
A BaedalCook representative stated, “Existing electric vehicle models were practically unusable during the summer heat and winter cold. Delivery tasks could not be properly performed on steep hills, and the maximum driving range after a full battery charge was only 50 km, which led to the introduction of this compact electric vehicle EV Z.”
The compact electric vehicle EV Z is characterized by overcoming the weaknesses of existing ultra-compact electric vehicles while maintaining their strengths. It can drive without restrictions on highways and motorways, and parking in narrow alleys is not a problem. It is fully equipped with air conditioning and heating. It is suitable for the domestic climate and has a relatively spacious trunk, making it optimized for short-distance delivery culture. Another strength of the EV Z is the convenience of charging regardless of location. It supports fast charging, which was impossible with existing ultra-compact electric vehicles, as well as charging via a 220V household outlet.
Lee Soon-jong, Vice Chairman of Semisysco, said, “The electric vehicle EV Z will provide revolutionary help in improving the working environment for riders,” and added, “The introduction of the EV Z through this MOU has played a significant role in establishing it as a practical delivery-dedicated electric vehicle, beyond existing ultra-compact electric vehicles.” He continued, “We also expect it to play a groundbreaking role in creating jobs for riders who are inexperienced in motorcycle driving.”
