Xi Jinping and Putin Send Congratulatory Message to Kim Jong Un on 73rd Anniversary of Regime Establishment, Emphasizing "Cooperative Relations"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the North Korean regime, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the cooperative relationship between their countries through congratulatory messages.


On the 9th, the Korean Central News Agency reported, "Comrade Kim Jong-un received a congratulatory message from Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China."


In his message, President Xi stated, "We highly value the development of China-North Korea relations and, together with General Secretary Comrade Kim Jong-un, are willing to develop the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries in a long-term and stable manner, continuously elevating it to a new level to provide better benefits to the peoples of both countries." This reaffirmed his commitment to the development of North Korea-China relations.


President Xi emphasized, "The traditional China-North Korea friendship, which grows stronger with the passage of time, is a precious common asset of both sides. In recent years, General Secretary Comrade Kim Jong-un and I have maintained close communication and led the stable development of China-North Korea relations, achieving excellent results continuously, thereby enriching the traditional China-North Korea friendship."


President Putin also sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary Kim, stating, "The relationship between our two countries is based on a fine tradition of friendship and mutual respect," and added, "I am confident that through our joint efforts, we will further develop constructive bilateral dialogue and cooperation in various fields."


He continued, "This will undoubtedly serve the interests of the peoples of our two countries and contribute to strengthening the safety and stability of the Korean Peninsula and the broader Northeast Asia region."


Additionally, Cuban President Miguel D?az-Canel and Vietnamese Communist Party Secretary General Nguy?n Ph? Tr?ng and Vietnamese President Nguy?n Xu?n Ph?c also sent congratulatory messages.


President D?az-Canel said, "We will strive to strengthen the bonds of friendship, cooperation, and solidarity."


In a joint message, Secretary General Tr?ng and President Ph?c affirmed, "We always value the traditional friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and North Korea."
