Sancheong-gun, 14th Dementia Overcoming Day... Non-face-to-face Walking Event Held

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Sancheong-gun Dementia Safety Center in Gyeongnam announced on the 8th that it will hold the 14th Dementia Overcoming Day with a 'Non-face-to-face Dementia Overcoming Walk' and a 'Dementia Awareness Improvement OX Quiz Event' on the 14th.

This event offers a small commemorative gift to the first 150 people who walk and verify their participation on the 14th for one day only.

Additionally, from the 15th to the 16th, an OX quiz event will be held to provide accurate information about dementia and improve negative perceptions.

Meanwhile, Dementia Overcoming Day was established in 1995 by the WHO (World Health Organization) in collaboration with the International Alzheimer’s Association to raise awareness of the caregiving issues faced by families and society for dementia patients.

An official from the county health and medical center stated, “Community interest and consideration for dementia patients and their families are of utmost importance,” adding, “We hope this Dementia Overcoming Day event will serve as an opportunity for residents to improve negative perceptions of dementia and show warm concern for patients and their families.”
