Disney+ Launches in Korea on November 12... Monthly Subscription Fee is 9,900 Won

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] You can now enjoy unlimited Disney movies and TV programs for 9,900 KRW per month.


The Walt Disney Company Korea announced on the 8th that it will launch the online video streaming service (OTT) Disney+ in Korea on November 12.


Disney+ offers core Disney brand movies and TV content such as ‘Disney,’ ‘Pixar,’ ‘Marvel,’ ‘Star Wars,’ ‘National Geographic,’ and ‘Star.’ It includes movies and TV programs produced by ABC, 20th Television, 20th Studios, and Searchlight Pictures, and will also release original series and Korean-produced content.


Disney+ subscribers in Korea can enjoy a wide range of content libraries including Disney+ originals, Disney classics, and the latest blockbusters such as movies, TV series, documentaries, and short-form videos for 9,900 KRW per month or 99,000 KRW annually.


The main content lineup by brand includes ▲ Marvel Studios blockbuster movies such as Black Widow, Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War, Captain Marvel, Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, Avengers: Age of Ultron ▲ the entire Star Wars movie episodes including Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker ▲ Disney’s representative animated and live-action movies such as The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Zootopia, Frozen ▲ heartwarming Pixar animations such as Onward, Monsters, Inc., Toy Story 4, Finding Nemo ▲ National Geographic documentaries including Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted, Bear Grylls’ Running Wild, Free Solo ▲ hit movies and TV series from the ‘Star’ brand such as Kingsman, Titanic, Deadpool, Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Desperate Housewives ▲ the X-Men movie series, Home Alone, and The Simpsons series ▲ Disney+ originals and many upcoming Korean productions such as Loki, WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, The Mandalorian, High School Musical, and more.

Meanwhile, The Walt Disney Company plans to hold various events including new content and trailer releases for subscribers worldwide on November 12, the launch date of Disney+ in Korea, which will also be celebrated as ‘Disney+ Day.’
