Police Arrest 'Gaseyeon' Cast Members Including Kang Yong-seok and Kim Yong-ho (Comprehensive)

[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] The police executed arrest warrants for three cast members of the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute' (hereinafter referred to as Gaseyeon).

According to the police on the 7th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul carried out the execution of arrest warrants for Gaseyeon cast members, lawyer Kang Yong-seok, former MBC reporter Kim Se-ui, and YouTuber Kim Yong-ho.

First, YouTuber Kim was apprehended around 9 a.m. in front of his home. Lawyer Kang and former reporter Kim resisted the execution of the warrants, but the police forcibly opened the door and arrested them.

During the standoff with the police, former reporter Kim posted on the YouTube channel's bulletin board, "Both Director Kang Yong-seok and I will fight confidently," and stated, "The reason for the arrest is related to defamation cases involving Cho Kuk's daughter and Lee In-young's son."

According to the police, Gaseyeon cast members have been sued in more than ten cases on charges including cyber defamation and insult. Despite the Gangnam Police Station requesting their appearance for investigation more than ten times, their repeated refusal led to the issuance of the arrest warrants.
