[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju County is hosting a free test drive event for the Nexo hydrogen car at the county office to promote the spread of hydrogen vehicles in the private sector.
The event will be held over two days from September 9 to 10, with seven sessions conducted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. exclusively for those who make prior reservations.
Anyone aged 18 or older with a driver's license can apply for a reservation, and each test drive opportunity lasts about 30 minutes.
In addition to the test drive vehicles, a separate vehicle exhibition will be available, providing a chance for visitors who do not participate in the test drive to see the actual Nexo vehicle.
There will also be a promotional booth where various information about the vehicle can be obtained.
A county official said, "We hope this will be an opportunity to showcase the Nexo's performance, purchase benefits, interior and exterior design, and ride comfort to residents, thereby raising interest in eco-friendly vehicles."
Meanwhile, as part of building a hydrogen ecosystem, Wanju County has been actively promoting the distribution of the Nexo hydrogen car and has provided purchase subsidies to alleviate the financial burden of vehicle purchase, which had been an obstacle.
Wanju County is also home to Jeonbuk's first hydrogen refueling station, Wanju Hydrogen Charging Station.
