According to the police on the 7th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul visited the homes of lawyer Kang Yong-seok, former MBC reporter Kim Se-ui, and YouTuber Kim Yong-ho to execute their arrest warrants.
According to the police, YouTuber Kim was reportedly apprehended by the police in front of his home that morning. However, lawyer Kang and former reporter Kim reportedly resisted the warrant execution and are currently in a standoff with the police.
A Gaseyeon representative said through YouTube, "We judge this to be an emergency situation," and added, "We ask viewers to join us in resisting." Former reporter Kim further explained on the YouTube channel's bulletin board that this was due to a defamation case involving the daughter of Cho Kuk and the son of Lee In-young.
It is known that the warrant execution on this day was carried out because those who had been sued multiple times for defamation and other charges related to their YouTube broadcasts refused to cooperate with police investigations.
