Lotte Card Signs Business Agreement with Fintech Startup 'Emmental'

Opening of 'Individual Business Owner Platform' Utilizing Emmental Sales and Purchase Data Collection Engine Within the Year

Lotte Card Signs Business Agreement with Fintech Startup 'Emmental' Lotte Card and Emmental signed a business agreement on the 1st at the Lotte Card headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, attended by Han Jeong-wook, Head of Digital Division at Lotte Card (right), and Lee Seong-bong, CEO of Emmental.

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Lotte Card announced on the 7th that it has signed a business agreement with Emmental to build a platform for individual business owners.


At the signing ceremony held on the 1st at Lotte Card headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, both companies agreed to utilize Emmental's sales and purchase data collection engine in Lotte Card's platform for individual business owners and to continue ongoing mutual cooperation. The platform for individual business owners, which Lotte Card is preparing to launch this year, plans to provide useful services to individual business owners, self-employed persons, and small business owners.


Emmental is a fintech company operating BZNAV, a management automation service for small and medium-sized enterprises. BZNAV automatically collects transaction information such as sales, purchases, and payments, which were difficult for small businesses to manage, from the National Tax Service, financial institutions, public organizations, shopping malls, and others, supporting real-time integrated management and utilization. It is currently used to manage more than 100,000 business sites nationwide.


A Lotte Card official said, "As part of win-win management, we are preparing a platform to support individual business owners, self-employed persons, and small business owners by applying the digital capabilities we possess," adding, "We expect the platform service, which can be used anytime and anywhere, to provide practical help in operating merchant stores."
