GalaxiaMoneyTree "1 Million Merchants 'MoneyTree', Launches COVID-19 National Support Fund Application Service"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Fintech specialist Galaxia Moneytree announced on the 6th that it will start a service to apply for the COVID-19 coexistence national subsidy through its simple payment platform ‘Moneytree’.

The national subsidy, which can be applied for starting today, can be received not only as credit card points or prepaid cards but also as local love gift certificates. ‘Moneytree’ is a simple payment app that can be used together with Zero Pay. The service allows receiving the national subsidy as Zero Pay local love gift certificates. If you apply through ‘Apply for Coexistence National Subsidy’ on Moneytree, the subsidy will be automatically paid one day after the application date. It can be checked in the Zero Pay mobile gift certificate menu within the Moneytree app. The local love gift certificates received as the national subsidy can be used at local love gift certificate affiliated stores within the applied local government.

Along with this, Moneytree will sequentially sell local love gift certificates from a total of 33 local governments, including 24 districts of Seoul, Gangwon Province, Jeollabuk-do, and Gyeongsangnam-do, at a 10% discounted price until Wednesday the 15th. The total scale of local love gift certificates sold at all sales points this time is 321.7 billion KRW.

A Moneytree Business Team official said, “With the national subsidy and the purchase of local love gift certificates provided ahead of the Chuseok holiday, people will be able to prepare for the holiday more economically,” and added, “We hope that Moneytree, which offers various services such as Zero Pay combined payments using Moneytree Cash, will contribute to stimulating consumption.”

Meanwhile, the simple payment app Moneytree has surpassed 2.5 million users recently with specialized services such as Zero Pay combined payments, local love gift certificate sales, and Cash ATM withdrawals since its early service. Within this year, it plans to newly introduce an integrated points payment service.
