Shinsegae International Online Mall 5th Anniversary, Get 30% Cashback When Buying Luxury Goods


[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Shinsegae International is holding various events to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the launch of its online mall.


Shinsegae International's luxury online platform SI Village announced on the 6th that it will hold the "Simaeul 5th Anniversary Event" for two weeks until the 19th, offering the largest discount benefits of the second half of the year. "Simaeul" is a nickname that emerged as more customers started abbreviating SI Village by reading Shinsegae International's abbreviation S.I. as "Si" and VILLAGE as "Maeul" (village). Shinsegae International plans to utilize the voluntarily derived "Simaeul" in marketing to increase customer intimacy and secure loyalty.


The event features about 60 popular domestic and international brands that usually do not offer frequent discounts, including Erno, Maison Margiela, Chloe, and Marni, as well as 45 high-end beauty brands such as Diptyque, Byredo, and Santa Maria Novella. All products are 100% genuine, imported through official distribution channels, not parallel imports.


During the event period, SI Village will run a payback event that awards up to 30% of the purchase amount in e-points. Each day is designated for categories such as overseas fashion, domestic fashion, beauty, and living. If the purchase amount of related products on the designated day exceeds 150,000 KRW, up to 30% of the payment amount will be credited as e-points. The accumulated e-points can be used for future product purchases.


Various coupons with abundant benefits will also be offered. From 10 a.m. daily, the first 1,000 customers will receive a 15% discount coupon, and all customers will be provided with coupon packs worth up to 100,000 KRW.


In addition to shopping benefits, SI Village will host the online cultural center "Shinsegae Liberal Arts Class Live," featuring entertaining content and useful information. Rich programs such as fall/winter beauty and fashion trends, transitional outerwear styling, a stylish Chuseok gift preparation class, and a home camping cooking class will be broadcast live twice daily during the event period.


To commemorate the 5th anniversary of the launch, Shinsegae International has selected the renowned actor Lee Seo-jin as the model and is conducting its first advertising campaign. In the video released on the 6th, Lee Seo-jin rides a luxury vintage car and departs for the "Shinsegaegun Luxury Simaeul," where he experiences a luxurious lifestyle.
