On the 2nd, Jeon Gwang-woo, Chairman of the World Economy Research Institute, emphasized at the 'World Economy Research Institute-Shinhan Financial Group International Conference' held at Lotte Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, that "the approach centered on ESG management is gaining momentum." On this day, Chairman Jeon delivered the opening remarks at the conference titled "The Great Voyage in the Post-Pandemic Era: Beyond ESG Management and Digital Convergence."


Chairman Jeon stated, "We are facing significant changes due to COVID-19 and new variant viruses," and predicted, "There will be a fundamental paradigm shift in government and corporate policies."


He also explained, "Sustainable growth can also be achieved," adding, "Green growth is developing at an even faster pace due to the impact of COVID-19."


Regarding the conference, he mentioned, "We intend to address various micro and macro topics in relation to COVID-19," and "In particular, we will examine several topics related to climate change and ESG management."
